A slightly more expensive cutting tool. This is one of the original models of bottle cutter. The wheel is made of tungsten carbide steel, and lasts a long time. It fits all round bottles from 43 to 102mm around. This means it will cut many bottle necks. It takes practise to get to use it efficiently, though. It comes with separation ties and sandpaper, to make the process easier. And it does not have additional blade settings though.

When choosing a bottle cutter, there are two main things to remember. Firstly, that all bottle cutting tools take some getting used to. A very low quality or very high quality glass will be harder to cut than an average one.
That said, there are some factors to consider when it comes to getting a bottle cutter. You may need a small and compact one for your craft room, or for carrying around. This will rule out most adjustable ones. Or you may need to cut to various heights, ruling out the simple ones. And if you want to cut oddly shaped bottles you need a specialized tool. Consider your needs and try and find a cutter to suit them exactly.
