The normal range for blood pressure is two numbers, the systolic and diastolic, and the numbers of these raise and lower. The plaque buildup can affect the normal function of the kidneys, which can cause an accumulation of toxins.
One of the other types of plaque that can accumulate in the body due to high blood pressure is an atherosclerotic plaque, which forms in the arteries going to the brain. This can cause a stroke, which can be debilitating or deadly.
Low blood pressure, on the other hand, can cause problems such as dizziness, breathing problems and fainting. This is a condition that should also be monitored and one that can be relatively dangerous for people that drive, use electrical powered equipment or tools and can affect the heart or brain.

When blood pressure is recorded there are 2 numbers that can be seen. The blood pressure level appears in numeric form and the normal readings 120/80 mmHg. While 120 is the systolic pressure, 80 happen to be the diastolic reading. When the heart exerts maximum pressure while beating, it is the systolic blood pressure. And the diastolic pressure referred to the amount of pressure in the arteries between the beats. There is a numeric difference between the systolic and the diastolic pressure, which is known as the pulse pressure.

Hyperthyroidism occurs when the thyroid gland produces more hormones than the body needs. This is one of the conditions of thyroid disease. The thyroid hormone is responsible for many of functions in the body including growth, weight loss or gain, metabolism, heart rate and other things.

There are some events that can cause hyperthyroidism it could have been caused by a tumor or infection. Either of these conditions could result in the production of more hormones in the body. There have been no studies conducted, which can determine this for certain. However, medical experts believe that when a patient with hypertension is found to be experiencing hyperthyroidism.
It could be that the high blood pressure might have been a cause of the hyperthyroidism condition, tumors or infection. Tumors and infection are included by research experts because they are a more severe condition than the production of a larger amount of hormones.
This is especially believed when hypertension is diagnosed at an early age, which could have been caused by one of these conditions or other severe health problems.

Strokes are a possibility when dealing with hypertension; especially if it is uncontrolled and every person with high blood pressure should know the signs. The first thing to know is experiencing any of these signs it is important to get immediate medical treatment. Some of the symptoms that can be experienced when having a stroke are:
- A headache, dizziness, and vomiting with these symptoms occurring at the same time.
- Blurred vision in one or both eyes that occurs abruptly.
- Speech difficulties with words and sentences.
- Sudden memory loss.
- The body suddenly becoming paralyzed.
- Loss of consciousness.
The types of strokes that can happen to someone suffering from hypertension:
The Ischemic Stroke is one of the two types of strokes and it occurs in the brain, usually due to clots or other obstructions in the blood vessels and arteries going to the brain. The clots block both blood flow and the oxygen the brain obtains from the blood flow. This also cuts off the glucose needed by the brain for normal function. This is a stroke that is severe and can be deadly; most people that survive the ischemic stroke are often paralyzed.
The other type of stroke is the Hemorrhagic Stroke; which can happen when there is a rupture of some of the blood vessels in the brain. This causes blood to seep into the brain tissues, which can cause damage to the brain cells. The main reason for this type of stroke is because the person has high blood pressure.
One of the other things that this type of stroke can be classified as is an aneurysm. This occurs when the blood vessels thin in the brain and blood causes them to form a balloon shape. These blood vessels can burst and the blood can seep into brain tissue causing damage or even death.
The studies that have been done involving stroke patients show that approximately 80 percent of the strokes that occur are Ischemic strokes, although both types of strokes can be deadly. Immediate medical treatment is necessary or this medical condition can cause death.
